Chest slots decide reload flow.
Quick answer.
Reloading in Fright Train is partly an inventory problem. The closer your active magazine is to a fast-access body slot, the smoother your reload. If ammo feels clumsy, the issue is often placement, not aim.
Why the chest slot matters
The official store description calls out one of the game’s key mechanics: magazines are faster to insert when they are stored on the chest instead of the lower back. Treat your fastest slots as combat slots.
Good early inventory logic
| Slot | Best use |
|---|---|
| Chest / front | Active magazine, emergency heal, heat pad. |
| Side utility | Frequently used support items. |
| Back / lower slots | Spare ammo, lower-priority items, backup gear. |
Do not reload during chaos if you can reset the angle
Storm waves punish panic reloads. If the train layout gives you a choke point, create space before topping off. The run is often lost during greedy reload windows.
