Quick answer.

Before every storm, run the same mental script: buy what you need, repair what will fail, close what will freeze, then fight from a position you can reload and recover from.

Why storms matter so much

Fright Train uses storms as the main pressure spike. They are where train condition, cold, shutters, enemy waves, and inventory decisions all collide.

Fast prep sequence

  1. Check credits and buy missing ammo or heat support.
  2. Repair any car close to critical.
  3. Close shutters where possible.
  4. Choose the route you want to defend from.
  5. Fight the wave without abandoning the core.

After-storm recovery

Do not sprint into exploration just because the wave ended. First check window damage, health, ammo, and whether the train needs immediate stabilization.
